The Middleton House
The house was built for Edward and Doris Middleton. Edward was a partner in the Anderson & Middleton Lumber Company. They had two sons, Theodore and Richard. In later years, the house was owned by the owners of Grays Harbor Equipment, both of whom died without heirs, and they left the house and business to their long-time employee, William Perry, who still resides there.
The house is pretty much as built. Most of the original fixtures are intact. The main floor has oak flooring and big decorative wood moldings. There is an elevator connecting all three floors, and a tennis court in the back of the property.
