Doughboy

The World War I Doughboy image created by E. M. Viquesney appears as a large statue in about 140 sites in the United States, two in the state of Washington. Aberdeen’s Doughboys was erected on July 4,1926, near the Aberdeen Ice Palace which was located near the corner of Park and Simpson Avenue. It was moved to its present site in Zelasko Park at East entrance to Aberdeen in 1961.
