Kape' Jiluupak or Kape’s Wall (outdoor)

Location: 215 S. K Street, West side of the Morck building

The mural depicts Northwest tribal culture in an authentic way and replicates what people would have seen in pre-contact times on the coast: sacred figures that would be found in Quinault ancestral chief Kape's longhouse. At the top of the mural is an Iskwalasus bright sun. Below the sun is a thunderbird atop a whale, framed by an arc of wolves and an ocean-going fishing vessel; symbols frequently found in Northwest basketry.
