Side One Studios at Wishkah and K Street in downtown Aberdeen is an excellent example of what can be achieved with a Light Up initiative. Decorative lighting not only enhances the beauty of the building, it provide greater security for downtown businesses.
An additional project for Light Up Aberdeen is to enhance the lighting on Aberdeen's prominent bridges.

Light Up! is a new project for Our Aberdeen. Working with local lighting vendor CES, its goal is to create fantastic light shows, illuminating local downtown businesses, art, and public infrastructure with creative light-scapes for Aberdeen's vibrant nighttime.
It's a marriage of safety and security with the added benefit of beautifully featuring some of Aberdeen's most interesting art and architecture.
Increased lighting not only enhances the beauty of our downtown but also has the added benefit of improved safety for downtown visitors and increased visibility for downtown businesses. More information about the official launch of this project coming soon.
