Kurt Cobain, Nirvana’s founder, was born and raised in Aberdeen. His family home is an historical landmark, near a city park that is now dedicated to him. Learn more about our public art installations like the sculpture and murals dedicated to Kurt and Nirvana.

  • Historic Homes is a collection of twenty-six homes in Our Aberdeen’s Broadway Hill brochure and website. This list contains a walking map with approximately half the homes on the hill. More homes to come.

  • Outdoor and indoor murals are located throughout Aberdeen, painted by some of Washington State’s finest artists. How many can you find?

  • Public Art Installations are a collection of various types art available to the public. Many are famous landmarks commemorating Aberdeen’s rich heritage from logging and maritime commerce as well as it’s vibrant musical and art heritage.

  • The Critters are a collection of imaginative and whimsical creatures. commissioned to cover electrical boxes in the downtown area.

  • Aberdeen, Washington, has its very own Walk of Stars. 91 stars are embedded in downtown sidewalks on Heron and Wishkah between F and K streets.

  • Located in Harbor Regional Health Community Hospital. The Healing Gallery opens new shows biannually.
